Eva and Adam were supposed to be mated in an arrangement set up by their grandfathers. In high school the two were a good couple until one day Eva disappeared saying only that she refused to mate with Adam. Now it is several years later and Eva needs a high paying job to help put her sister through college. She is shocked when she arrives to find out that she is Adam's personal assistant. She is not happy to be so close to Adam again.
Adam is not happy to have Eva back in his life. He was upset and heartbroken when she took off the first time. He doesn't want her working for him but pride politics demand that he helps her out with a job and think about carrying through on the mating agreement. He may not be wanting a relationship with her but he can't stand the thought of someone else mating her.
Both Adam and Eva want to keep their distance but circumstances keep throwing them together. I really enjoy this second chance romance. It is amazing how much things went when they actually communicated with each other. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my review.
Eva is a headstrong tigress in need of a job, so when her clan leadership arranges a good paying job for her at Frost Industries she is not about to turn it down. That is until she finds out that the position is that of Executive Assistant to Adam Frost, her ex-fiance and fellow tiger. Adam doesn't realize his attraction to Ava still exists until she walks into his office and back into his life after 8 long years. Now they both have to put their resentment and misunderstandings aside to try and make this business arrangement work, right? Yep, that doesn't go so well. Eva is extremely headstrong and doesn't like to listen to any perspective but her own. She'd much rather hide from her feelings, and Adam, then acknowledge she could still care for the man she believes betrayed her. Adam is just as stubborn. He has no problem acknowledging his attraction to Eve, but feelings? What feelings? Yeah, exactly. When these two finally let chemistry get the best of them, the sparks fly, but can they get their heads on straight long enough to let love blossom again? Very good story, with plenty of angst and frustration, but a mostly HEA at the end. Enjoy! I voluntarily read and reviewed this story.

This is a second chance romance for Eva and Adam.
Eva left Adam 8 years ago without any word when she was him kissing another woman. But now she's back as his assistant, and determined to keep things professional.
Adam Frost has made himself a very wealthy man. After his fiance walked away from him 8 years ago he hasn't been able to allow another woman to get close. However, when Eva walks back in need of a job he'll do whatever necessary to keep her at a distance.
Although I do love many second chance romances, this one was kind of a miss for me. Eva left after seeing him kissing another woman and allowing her teenage feelings to get the better of her. However, she got upset because she didn't think Adam looked hard enough for her when she left? God and women wonder why men think we are confusing.
This may sound like a negative kind of story but it's not. Very cute and a HEA ending!
This is a cute read but very short. I did not like Dean the cousin. His meddling wasn't very nice. The story seemed so short and not as developed as it could've been.
Adam just wants to know why she ran when they were kids. She doesn't want anything to do with him or does she? Throw in a meddling cousin and you have chaos..
I love reading Lizzie Lynn Lee books. They are so to the point. The only thing I would change is I want them to be longer so I can see how the couples evolve in the future. Otherwise, an excellent read
